The Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Boston Bar Association (VLP) gives free civil (non criminal) legal help to low-income residents of Greater Boston, primarily through the volunteer services of private attorneys, in the areas of housing, family law, consumer and debt collection, unemployment, tax, estates and domestic violence restraining orders.
